“First, I must tell you that I have been receiving their services periodically for over 10 years. My experiences are all positive and I would emphasize that they are very professional and efficient. As a person who has had psychiatric assistance, I could see that they had experience with others like myself while working in the field! I want to say that they are more dedicated, understanding and practical than many mental health physicians, because they stick with you through therapy (meetings) everyday with people who are deprived, suffering, injured, exploited, abused, assaulted, damaged, grieved, etc. Yes, it is like this in a society that is a civilized society.
The Projet Suivi Communautaire is very important and necessary for me, as I am a neuropath who needs support for many reasons.
Projet Suivi Communautaire, you are more than worthy of all the accolades. I always feel satisfied and in good hands.
May the government come to your aid even more in the future, for you embody a wonderful project which is very worthy and full of good intentions.
God bless you ! So be it.”
“Hi, my experience with you and Projet Suivi Communautaire has been very good. I very much want to keep working with you and I would recommend you to anyone who needs help.”
“For me, The Projet Suivi Communautaire was like a tool box. I learned to gain confidence, to express myself in a group, to assume my rightful place. I learned to be healthier, especially in being better able to sleep. I learned to make lists to be sure to not forget things without feeling overwhelmed. These were precious encounters for me. I’m at the end of the process now, having progressed well. All good things must come to an end. I see the end coming with heartfelt sadness, but I’ll always have my tool box. Thanks to the workers who helped me throughout the process. Thank you Projet Suivi Communautaire.”
“How to recover? With welcoming, being accepted, not being judged, trust, all of these factors that help you to open up, to free yourself from the past and to learn to heal past wounds. Therapy is a long road, yes, but doable. Thank you to Projet Suivi Communautaire for giving me this opportunity.”
“I have been with Projet Suivi Communautaire for almost six years. When I started, I was a mentally broken woman. I was sad and extremely unhappy. I could not handle much, as they say. With the help and support of my worker, I managed one day at a time to regain a zeal for life, to make decisions (which I have never been able to do before), to make choices and above all to set limits, which gave me back my confidence and self-esteem. Today, I chose me. WOW, what a journey! Thank you to my worker for giving of herself, for listening and her good suggestions and a long life to Projet Suivi Communautaire. ❤❤❤”
“For me, Projet Suivi Communautaire was, and still is a regular and strong support where I could rebuild myself as a person.
In an environment of confidence and security, I was able to rebuild the core of my being. My worker permitted me to understand myself and my uniqueness. Over the years, I came to rediscover myself as a person in control and accepted, so I could exist as a complex person, to fulfill myself every day and gain the right to dream.
I am and will continue to recognize and be touched by the support, the positive reinforcement and encouragement all through my process. But mostly that they believed in me, without labelling, categorizing or judging.
Thank you for this fundamental resource for this underserved society. You are an indispensable support!”
“Projet Suivi Communautaire provides support in my daily life, even though I only meet with my worker once every 2 weeks. I have been able to dig deep into my issues of anxiety with the tools they provide. In the hard times, with the knowledge that I have the support of Projet Suivi Communautaire, it gives me hope that I’ll make it through.
I can say that now, when I’m facing difficult moments, I can count on myself with the tools that my worker gave me. It works!
Thanks to Projet Suivi Communautaire as well as my worker!”
“There you go, they have closed my file at the Douglas. No more amazing nurse to meet with every 2 weeks. She gave me information about Projet Suivi Communautaire. I called, and was told that there was a waiting list of one year. I took the news in stride and eventually forget about my request. One day, my new worker comes to see me. Wow, she makes me realize that I’m someone interesting. It’s amazing, I may be a person with needs but I am still a person.”
“I’m a retired 82-year-old, confined to a small apartment surrounded by souvenirs of an active life, and my worker is the only person that I let in, the only person who doesn’t ridicule me, who listens to my frustrations and suggests solutions. My appointment with my worker is the only one I can’t wait for. My family are far away and can’t speak to me without ridiculing me.”
